Hi, I'm Taylor.

I am a Registered Social Worker and Yoga Teacher, living and working in the province of Ontario. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Guelph, and a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University. I bring experience working in community mental health, community child & youth mental health and within the violence against women sector.

I believe in approaching life with an essence of curiosity, compassion and creativity.  I value relationships based on authenticity, safety and collaboration and aim to bring these qualities into our work together. I believe that we are all hardwired for healing, harmony and connection, even when this feels out of reach - and it's an honour to work alongside others to help facilitate this process.

The backbone of my work is drawn from the modalities Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as mind-body, somatic and creativity focused approaches. I regularly draw on other modalities (such as mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, EFFT, DBT, and CBT) into my work depending on the needs, interests and goals for those who I work with. Click here to find out more about the approaches that I use. No matter the approach, all of my work is client centered, trauma informed, strength based and holistic in nature.

I work with individuals who may be experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, seeking emotional wellness, struggling with feeling stuck, exploring their sense of self or needing some clarity as they navigate life transitions. I have a special focus and passion for working with youth and young adults finding their way in this crazy world. I have experience working with a wide variety of diagnoses and challenges including trauma, stress, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, ADHD, and depression. For children and youth, I also offer parent/caregiver coaching and consultation sessions.

In addition to my professional and therapist parts, I am an aspiring sourdough bread baker, a wannabe world traveller and an astrology lover. I love to learn and experience new hobbies. I am continuously seeking joy, in moments big and small. I love snuggling up with my sweet daughter, chasing after from my pup and self-proclaimed therapy dog, Stark, adventuring and making delicious food with my husband, drinking amazing coffee and tea, and laughing with friends.

Above all, I'm a human first. I know that being a human is not always easy.

You are worthy of support and for space for you to land while on this journey. Together, let's co-create a space where all parts, emotions and experiences are compassionately welcomed.
